What is EEL CCS Module?

The battery cells are grouped into functional blocks, which form the entire battery system through electrical connections. These blocks are placed together to form so-called battery modules. Typically, battery modules are connected in series in groups of 8.
The pre-assembly of the battery contact system takes place via highly automated processes on upstream production lines. These pre-assembly lines are either directly connected to the final assembly of the battery modules or as a separate plant part. Depending on the design, the battery connectors and current taps are supplied automatically, and the CCS base body is equipped with voltage taps and temperature sensors. The pre-assembled battery connectors are then integrated into the CCS carrier parts. Ultrasonic or hot caulking processes are used to achieve the best possible connection of the carrier parts, which protect the battery connectors and finally integrate the individual components into the complete battery contact system. After the components have been marked for traceability, the production data is transferred to the Manufacturing Execution System (MES) and the battery contact system is output from the system.

1. The integrated top plate on the top is composed of a busbar and a sampling module. The sampling module uses the latest printed circuit technology and is equipped with a safety device. The integrated top plate and the battery pole are welded by high-power laser, which greatly reduces the internal resistance, making data collection more accurate and the battery operation more stable.

2. The clamping device on the outside of the module can provide a clamping force of 300kg to extend the service life of the battery cell.

3. There are preset holes around, which can be fixed in our kit by using our extended screws, making installation more convenient.

  • 1.SORTING CELLS

    OCV test: Test the voltage and internal
    resistance of the battery cell, screen it, enter the number and parameters of
    the qualified battery cell into the system, and proceed to the next step.

  • 2.Paste silicone sheet

    Paste fireproof silicone sheets on the
    sides of the battery cells to increase insulation and cushioning.

  • 3.Arrange the cells

    Arrange the cells in the correct order

  • 4.CCS module extrusion molding

    Place the base and baffles on the extrusion
    table, and put the binding steel belt around the arranged cells. The initial
    extrusion pressure of the CCS module after extrusion is about 300kg.

  • 5.Polarity detection

    After extrusion, the CCS module is tested
    in a polarity detection machine to ensure that the battery cells are arranged
    correctly and there are no abnormalities in the polarity.

  • 6. Battery pole cleaning

    The CCS module enters the cleaning machine,
    which uses laser to remove the oxide layer on the surface of the pole, and then
    blows away the dust generated by the cleaning to ensure that the welding
    process proceeds normally.

  • 7.1.Laser welding

    The cleaned CCS module enters the welding process, combining the integrated PCB top
    plate with the top of the module. The industrial robot automatically locates
    the welding points, and then uses high-power laser welding.

  • 7.2.Laser welding

    Use a vacuum cleaner to remove impurities generated during welding

  • 8.Total voltage and internal resistance test

    Test the total voltage and internal
    resistance of the CCS module respectively.

  • 9.1.Insulation test

    Close the top cover of the module and
    perform insulation test.

  • 9.2.Insulation test

    Scan the CCS module-specific QR code and
    enter the module information into the system.

  • 10.Line sequence test

    Insert the matching wiring harness into
    the port and perform a wiring sequence test to confirm whether the signal is
    collected normally.

    Use the custom handle to place the CCS module into the box.
